With origins dating back to 1870, Farnham
Archers is one of the oldest archery clubs
in Surrey. Based south of Farnham on a very
attractive secluded site near the village
of Elstead, Farnham Archers has a range
and facilities that are permanently set
up and this allows members to practice independently
at any time they wish.
During the summer the club hosts sessions
for beginners and juniors and has an active
schedule of Sunday club trophy shoots
and practice sessions throughout the year.
Farnham Archers has an active programme
of practice and competition shoots held
throughout the year. Shoots are usually
on Sundays with regular competitions held
in the spring and summer months.
During the winter we have an indoor programme
and participate in the winter "Frostbite
League" which is postal and is normally
held in the first week of the month. Also
during the winter, indoor shooting is
held on Tuesdays from 18:30 to 20:30 at
the sports & shooting centre at Bisley
NRA (Map) and the cost is £3 per
evening
Beginner’s Sessions
These sessions for beginners consist of
four lessons, each lasting two hours.
They are held on Saturdays from 14:00
to 16:00 from May to August.
“Have a Go” sessions
The club regularly accommodates local
schools, clubs and businesses for “Have
a Go” sessions. The club provides
all the equipment required.
